Privacy Policy

This policy explains the limited information used to operate Kalani's Games.

Information players choose to provide

Saving a score is optional. When a player saves one, the site stores the chosen nickname, score, and submission date in a Cloudflare D1 database. The best entries are displayed publicly on the relevant game's leaderboard.

Players should use a made-up nickname and should not enter a real name, email address, school, location, or other personal information.

Browser storage

After a score is saved, the nickname may be stored in the browser's local storage so it can be filled in during a later game. This stays on the player's device and can be removed by clearing site data in the browser.

Hosting, security, and technical information

Cloudflare provides hosting, security, traffic delivery, operational logs, and the D1 leaderboard database. Like most hosting providers, Cloudflare may process technical information such as network addresses, request details, device or browser information, and security signals to deliver and protect the service.

The site uses a network address as a temporary rate-limit key to prevent repeated score submissions. The address is not written into the leaderboard database.

Retention and sharing

Each game retains up to 250 of its best leaderboard entries. Lower-ranked entries are automatically deleted as new scores are added. Information is used to operate, secure, and improve the site and is not sold by the site operator.

Nickname, score, and date information may be visible to anyone who opens a leaderboard. Technical information may be processed by service providers such as Cloudflare as needed to operate and protect the site.

Advertising

Kalani's Games does not currently display advertisements or load advertising technology. If advertising is enabled, this policy will be updated before launch to identify the provider, explain its data practices, and provide any required privacy choices. The planned approach is child-restricted and non-personalized.

Children and parent choices

The site is designed to minimize information collection and does not provide accounts, chat, direct messaging, purchases, or location features. A parent or caregiver may ask a question or request removal of a leaderboard entry through the contact page.

Changes to this policy

This page will be updated when the site's information practices change. The date at the top shows the most recent revision.
